Congratulations to my nephew Alex who won a year supply of burritos last night at the Wisconsin men’s hockey game! The four contestants were positioned at the four corner dots on the ice and had to shoot a puck toward a sombrero at center ice. After “video review” it was determined his puck was the closest. Winner!
Said Alex, “When I shot it I thought it would sail by the sombrero. It held on to win. And they pronounced my name wrong.*”
* Not a real quote. Sort of an approximation of what he said after the game.
As a side note, Wisconsin went on to win the game to secure home ice next weekend for the first round of the WCHA conference tournament.
