Is it me or is there a lot going on in the world of amateur sports right now?Clearly, winter sports are wrapping up. You name it, it’s probably going on. No wonder we’re so busy.

Club volleyball (yes, still) Clare plays in her last tournament Saturday while Hannah participates in her second-last on Sunday.
(Update 3/15: Clare’s team ended the season respectably. Hannah’s team won the consolation bracket today!)

High school girls basketball playoffs WI state tournament going on this weekend.

High school boys basketball playoffs Marshall in the sectional final Saturday night – good luck boys – winner advances to state next weekend.
(Update 3/15: Marshall lost a heart-breaker by 2 at the buzzer.)

College hockey playoffs Wisconsin women won the WCHA tournament over then #1 Minnesota last weekend, play host to Dartmouth in the first round of the NCAA tournament this weekend. Wisconsin men hosting Mankato this weekend in the first round of the WCHA tournament.
(Update 3/15: The UW hockey women pounded Dartmouth 7-0 to advance to the frozen four. The men swept Mankato to get to the WCHA final five.)

College basketball how did I leave this out? Oh yeah, I’m not that big of a fan. Congrats to the UW men for making it to the tournament. Can you say ‘one and done?’

Maybe things will slow down once we get through this.

Who am I kidding? Let’s enjoy the ride.
