School volleyball is officially over

Hannah and I just returned from Dodgeland High School in Juneau, WI, where the host Trojans put a beat down on the Marshall Cardinals in the first round of Division 3 regional volleyball competition.

Like most of the Varsity matches this year, Hannah was invited to dress and warm-up with the team. Throughout the course of the year, she usually made an appearance in the earlier games and played all of the fourth game. Tonight’s regional contest was a little different using a best 3-of-5 format.

We were the #8 seed in the bracket going up against a #1 seed. Watching warm-ups, I couldn’t help but notice the lack of height on the opposing team. After a good start, the wheels on the Marshall bus fell off. Too many unforced errors and Dodgeland was just the opposite. They were good, but not overwhelming. I don’t see them getting very far in the tournament. Oh, what the heck – let them win it all!

She’ll have to turn in her warm-up tomorrow morning and we realized that we didn’t have any pictures of Hannah wearing it.
Say no more, I’m on the case. Here you go:
