This past Sunday, Midwest Juniors hosted a mostly intrasquad scrimmage among their various teams. The pools were divided by age and, luckily for us, the girls both played at the same time (but not against each other). Hannah is playing on a 15s Regional team this year and Clare is with the lone 13s squad.
Hannah’s team won the games they should have won and played very competitively against the Junior National teams. Being so early in the season, I was surprised how well they played together as a team. They should be fun to watch this year.
Clare’s team started slow but showed definite improvement over the course of the day. They were pooled with the 14s so it was tough to get anything going.
Next Sunday, Clare’s team plays in their first tournament of the season. I’ll be sure to bring my camera and post some pictures next week.
