After taking care of Random Lake last Tuesday, the Marshall Cardinals hosted the Cambridge Blue Jays in the second round of the WIAA Division 5 football playoffs. In a rematch against Capitol-South Conference regular season co-champions – Marshall won the earlier match-up, 18-15 – it was Cambridge coming out victorious this time.
Although the score remained close throughout the evening, Cambridge was clearly in control throughout, eventually winning 17-0. The Marshall faithful didn’t have much to cheer about last night, but they stayed until the end and congratulated the boys as their season came to a close.
Cambridge advances to take on Cedar Grove-Belgium next weekend for the right to go to state.
