At every tournament, regardless of the sport, there’s always one team that ends up at the bottom of the heap, winless despite their valiant effort. I’m quite familiar with this team, becoming even more so on Saturday as the Marshall Youth Club 8th grade girls basketball team traveled to Burlington to participate in their February Frenzy tournament.
There were moments of good play, but they were unequally balanced with better play by our opponents.
Not that it’s a bad idea, but the host school sold T-shirts listing the participating clubs. A nice touch, but except for the winning teams, who is going to buy these things? They had a lot of shirts available. I’m guessing they’re mostly still there.
