It’s November 4th

Some random, yet significant happenings today…

  • I cut my grass today. Not often that this happens any time during the month of November in Wisconsin. Definitely one of the latest dates for this memorable event.
  • Packers win their 7th game of the year! In stunning fashion, Favre and company take care of Kansas City while raising their record to 7-1. Whodathunk?
  • Daylight Saving Time ended this morning. No wonder I’m tired at 9:00 at night.

Not to leave out yesterday’s fun…

  • Clare did great at the Gymtastics meet in Watertown on Saturday. She earned two firsts (beam and bars), a fourth (vault) and a sixth (floor) in the four events. Well enough to earn second place in the all-around! First time that she placed in ALL four events and highest ever all-around place. Outstanding! Thanks to the extended family that showed up to help cheer her on. Hannah was in charge of video at the meet and I haven’t reviewed it yet. Should I be afraid? If there are any good parts I’ll post them this week.
  • The UW hockey badgers earned a weekend split against Michigan Tech by beating the Huskies 4-2 at the Kohl Center.
    • Best cheer during the game (after showing a rather large Michigan Tech Husky fan) = Husky Husky, clap, clap, clap-clap-clap

EDIT: And, of course, on November 5th we had an ever-so-slight dusting of snow. Cold and windy. Timing is indeed everything.
