HKS MVP

Wow, Hannah played outstandingly well Monday night when the Marshall 8th grade girls went to Deerfield. In the stands we overheard something about their team being undefeated in match play, only losing one game all year. After seeing them play, I believe it. With only 9 girls on their roster they have a greater opportunity to play together and learn each other’s style of play. Contrast that with Marshall’s 20+ girls, all of whom get in to play at least one full game making it difficult to get into any kind of rhythm. In the end, it’s a good problem to have to work everyone in during the course of the afternoon. Thanks, Coach K.!

Anyway, Hannah played great in games 3 and 4. She only missed one serve (I think), nailing several overhand service winners along the way. She is quick to recall one especially hard hit ball from her while she was in the back row that didn’t come back from the other side. Great drive!

One final match this Thursday at home against…some other team. You can be relieved that you won’t have to watch any more volleyball this year after this week.
On to eighth grade girls basketball! Consider this your warning…

You know you want some video, so here it is.
