Clare had her first gymnastics meet of the fall season this afternoon at the west side gym. We thought it was just going to be an intrasquad “practice” meet, but Pardeeville was in attendance as well as the girls from the east and west Madtown gyms. Clare did well enough to score above a 32 for the first time ever at level 5. You need at least a 32 in the all-around (4 events – balance beam, floor, uneven bars, vault) at a “real” meet to qualify for the state meet in December. Even though this meet doesn’t count in that regard, things are already looking brighter this season. Her best score of the day came on the balance beam. The video of her beam routine is below. Enjoy.
