We finally broke down and bought a new car over the weekend. We took delivery of the midnight blue 2008 Hyundai Sonata on Monday. Bigger, smoother, and just way nicer than the 1997 Geo Prism (granted it was a pretty low bar). With over 155,000 miles on the old gal, there was no telling how much longer it was going to be around.
Heard good things about the Sonata, took it for a test drive and was sold. Intending to keep the car for another 10 years, I was hoping to pick up a 2007 but there weren’t many to be had. Why they were offering rebates on 2008 models I do not know, but it sure helped sweeten the deal. Hopefully it will prove worthy and hang around through the next couple of drivers that we have up and coming.
