Beginning today, June 17, 2008, the latest version of Mozilla’s Firefox browser is available to the public. You can get it at the link at the bottom.
I’m a big proponent of Firefox and all PCs in our house use it exclusively. I love its tabbed browsing. I love its security. I love the thousands of add-ins that are available to personalize your browsing experience. This latest version (v.3) speeds things up tremendously and, thusly, improves your Internet enjoyment factor. Woot!
They’re making a big deal about Tuesday (spreadfirefox.com) and they want to break some sort of record for most downloads in a day. Do your part and get today. You’ll love it, too. Go get it. The official Download Day begins at 10 a.m. PDT.
(P.S. If you’re reading this from inside our house, I’ll upgrade you some time today.)
Update (around noon): HA! They’re having a few problems…

Update (later afternoon): Things are going smoother now. Already did one upgrade. Three more on the way.
Update (6/19): The Windows PCs were a breeze to upgrade. This evening I finally got it installed on Hannah’s Ubuntu machine. The only PCs left in the house are the ultra portable eeePC and another Ubuntu box under my desk. They can wait.
