On what was probably the last beautiful weekend of the year, we headed down to the farmer’s market around the capitol square Saturday morning. Mary and Dick, Melody and Sydney, and all of us took in the sights and sounds (and food!) offered every weekend throughout the summer months.
Coffee, hot chocolate, donuts, squeaky cheese, and warm, spicy cheesebread were on the menu for the morning.
The vendors are only out for two more weeks before they head in to the Monona Terrace for the winter farmer’s market. Who knew?
Since it’s open to the public, we thought we’d head to the observation level of the capitol building see the city from above.
